| Athletic, versatile, sound of mind and body, beautiful, and passing it all along to his get! Legend has consistently passed his best along to every foal. All Legendary offspring are extremely balanced in conformation, are lovely elegant movers as well as having great elasticity and agility, and possess his confident yet sane thoughtful demeanor. Interestingly, as much as Legend is a sporthorse in type, when he gets around cattle he is VERY cowy! We expect that will be passed on too. Legend has so far allowed the dams to contribute heavily to the offsprings' sizes and "type." Bred to stock mares the resulting foals have impressive natural muscle definition and are more an overall stock-type. Offspring are of hunter- or sport-type when out of like mares. Bred to ponies the resulting offspring are staying pony. The largest mare to foal by Legend was our 16.2h Thoroughbred mare. Their daughter, who we have retained, will mature right about 16 hands or so. Lastly, the icing on the cake- Legend is a red dun tobiano and it looks like he may be carrying sabino (from his dam's TB line his breeder believes). To date his color production record, pinto and/or dun factor, is averaging 90% or more, including from non-color breed mares. |
