AmarugiaHorse Farm brags
July, 2006
After attending a most educational EQUINE-REPRODUCTION seminar, then getting
everything needed, AmarugiaHorse Farm is now set up to collect our stallions and artificially inseminate the
mares. Due to the numerous requests from mare owners all over the USA and Canada we have also been
actively working towards the goal of offering shipped cooled semen to the public by the start of the 2007
breeding season. We are very close to that, having now taught our section A Welsh stallion Tyfi (seen below and
on the STALLIONS pages) to collect. Next is teaching Legendary, having the appropriate testing completed on
both and then we will be ready! Check back and watch for updates, as it will be posted here the moment we are
able to offer this service.

AmarugiaHorse Farm welcomes
Wyndam Hills Tyfi Lloyd
to our stallion roster! Tyfi is a registered section A Welsh stallion.
Both sire and dam are UK imports, have excellent show records,
and Tyfi has an impressive in-hand show record, being a
multi-champion, as well. See more on the Stallions page. Thank
you Wyndam Hills Welsh of Carlton, Oregon, for allowing us to
purchase this fine young stallion!

Another Amarugiabred is showing and doing well!
ApHC registered (1/2 Thoroughbred) Spectacular Plaudett, show
name Bugaboo, was shown in the American Royal and did very
well. From her owner, "Bug is such a great horse. We just got
home from the American Royal A-rated horse show here in
Kansas City. Bug was great. My daughter is a beginner and she
and Bug came home with a blue in Hunter U/S (in a class of
nearly 30!) and she placed 2nd in equitation. Our trainer placed
2nd and 6th in Baby Greens in an A-rated show in St. Louis last
month. Bug is a very pretty mover and has great form over fences.
Bug is not spooky at all and she has really taken care of my
daughter."

Our pony mare Madison is currently being shown
in Hunters with her
talented young rider Alisha Burt. The pair
have recently been enjoying a successful beginning to their show
career together. Watch for Alisha and Maddie as they continue
their show ring success this winter in the Kansas City area!
UPDATE- Now sold.

We participated in our first American Warmblood
Registry/American Sport Pony Registry
inspection on
September 14th, 2005. Three AmarugiaHorse Farm ponies were
presented to the ASPR and all three were awarded First
Premium status! Our red dun pinto stallion
LEGENDARY (aka
Legend Of Pride) scored very well, was approved, and received his
provisional breeding license. With our breeding goals being
to produce "all-around" athletes (hunters, dressage, Jumping,
eventing),  it was wonderful to see Legend score a 7.5 for his
free-jumping performance and a 7.8 for breed type! We chose, as
our first mare to be presented,
KALEIDOSCOPE MYSTIC, a bay
pinto Trakehner/Paint x Connemara. A First Premium mare, Mystic
WOW'ed everyone with her jumping enthusiasm, talent, and
earned a 7.6 for it! Their 2005 filly, an elegant chestnut tovero
named
AHF CUSTOM MADE, was presented and went First
Premium as well, scoring even higher than her dam! We are sure
looking forward to continuing the inspection process with our
ponies in 2006!

We at AmarugiaHorse Farm extend our
congratulations to Rebecca Stewart
and "Jake", a 2002 3/4 TB who is ApHC registered as AMARUGIA'S
MR. JESTER, on their '05 success in the show ring! Jake, an
Amarugiabred gelding, attended his first Hunter show. Rebecca
and Jake competed in two classes. Here is what Rebecca had to
say about the experience, "... [Here is] Jake under saddle at his
first show where he won both of his classes... and then won the
Champion ribbon for the division!!!  He was FABULOUS!  It is only
about the 12th time or so of me riding him... It was the Northwest
Arkansas Hunter Jumper Association Horse Show- and we won
both the Hunter Pleasure Horse and Hunter Rider Class.  And then
the division! ...He got rave compliments from EVERYONE at the
show!..."

We are now expecting Tyfi's first foal!
After ground collecting Tyfi our small Thoroughbred mare Addie was AI'ed.
She has now been ultra-sounded and is pregnant. Now we just have to try and be
patient while waiting until mid-June to early July of 2007. This is sure to be a spectacular Welsh/TB baby!
On top of being excited about the upcoming foal I am so pleased to say Tyfi is the first
stallion I have taught to collect and Addie was the first mare I've artificially inseminated.
I am very proud that the first time I used what I learned at the equine-repro seminar resulted in a pregnancy!
